One of our favorite places to visit

Our family loves to be in nature and explore new places. One of the places we've explored and can't stop going back to is Joshua Tree & neighboring Yucca Valley. It's awesome that just a few hours drive from LA we can be in a completely different natural landscape and pace of life.

There's something about the vast open rockscapes in Joshua Tree that give us a sense of awe and perspective- a deeper sense of how tiny and awesome our existence is. It's definitely one of our favorite places to slow down and reset.

We love to stock up on lots of good food, spend hours exploring Joshua Tree National park, make pancakes & yummy meals, stargaze, read, go to a sound bath, sit around a campfire, explore the shops in town, meditate, basque in the sunsets and go to the honky tonk.

The area is known to some for its energy vortex (feels undeniable to us) and has been a long-time home to many artists seeking inspiration from the desert and affordable studio space on large plots of land.  This creative spirit provides a wonderful melange of unique shops, lodging, and experiences perfect for a weekend trip. Or one could really sink into the desert pace and stay a while.....
